Dermik does have a Patient Assistance Program based on income and other criteria.

How can I obtain Penlac®?
Penlac® (ciclopirox) Topical Solution, 8% is available by prescription only,
so only a healthcare professional can determine if Penlac® is right for you.
Your Penlac® prescription can be filled at any local pharmacy. To learn more

I just picked up a prescription for BenzaClin®. Does it
need to be refrigerated?
No. In September 2001, the FDA approved BenzaClin® (clindamycin 1%-benzoyl peroxide
5% gel) Topical Gel for room temperature storage, eliminating the need for refrigeration.

Do you still make Comfortine™?
Dermik discontinued manufacturing Comfortine™ in 1993. A pharmacist may be
able to advise you about a substitute.
Do you still make Shepard's® Skin Cream?
Dermik discontinued making Shepard's® Skin Cream in 1998. Dermik still makes
Shepard's® Cream Lotion in both 8oz and 16oz sizes, and many people like the
lotion as an alternative to the Shepard's® Skin Cream. If your pharmacy does
not currently have Shepard's® Cream Lotion in stock, you can ask the pharmacy
to order it for you from a wholesaler.
Do you still make Drithocreme® or Dritho-Scalp®?
Dermik sold its anthralin products (including Drithocreme® and Dritho-Scalp®)
to Summers Laboratories (Collegeville, PA) in December 2000. Drithocreme® has

Why can't I find Hytone® 1.0% in my local pharmacy?
Hytone® (hydrocortisone) 1.0% became an over-the-counter product in 1997 and
is available at most pharmacies. If your pharmacy does not currently have Hytone®
1.0% in stock, you can ask the pharmacy to order it for you from a wholesaler.
Why can't I find Shepard's® Cream Lotion in my local pharmacy?
Dermik makes Shepard's® Cream Lotion in 8oz and 16oz sizes. Shepard's® Cream
Lotion is often made available only when the pharmacy or store puts in a specific
request with its wholesaler.
Why can't I find Zetar® Shampoo in my local pharmacy?
Dermik makes Zetar® Shampoo in a 6oz size. As a specialty, non-prescription
dermatology product, Zetar® Shampoo is often made available only when the pharmacy
or store puts in a specific request with its wholesaler.
