Results of a 3-week, vehicle-controlled clinical trial, (n=216), comparing the mean percentage of improvement of eczema symptoms (erythema, induration, and pruritus), comparing prednicarbate and vehicle, there was a 57% vs. 18% improvement at the first week, and a 76.4% and 29.7% improvement at the end of treatment, respectively.[1]

†	Safety and efficacy of use for longer than 3 weeks has not been established in pediatric patients. In a clinical trial, mild signs of skin atrophy developed in 5 out of 59 (8%) pediatric patients.[2]

In clinical trials, the incidence of adverse events was approximately 4%. Reactions included mild signs of skin atrophy in 1% of patients and less than 1% of the following: pruritis, edema, paresthesia, urticaria, burning, allergic contact dermatitis, and rash.
